Primordial

we cling to the underside of the earth

in shadows, eternally fixed

as the world turns

one final time

..

the stifled prophets were right

and I grasp your fingers

to enter the longest night

..

the moon has been cast off

tumbled to a galaxy unknown

Tsukuyomi at last free to dance

unshackled from his lunar throne

..

the glass sea a stagnant pool

settling with miasmic cool

ripples that once were

shall frothy detritus incur

..

we cling to the underside of the world

pupils permanently dilate

ice crystals kissing

our

pallid, primal

state

Lacrimas Profundere

i wrap myself in solitude’s cloak

tightly bound

concealing, errant

feelings to impound

harsh wool collar, lacrimas damp

scratches

numb skin, inducing rashes

neither felt nor seen

for in shadows

grazes convene

tattered truth parchment

tucked close to breast bone

fragments on tongue, stutter

dry choke, mouth open, then flutter

as doves from a magician’s hat

bet you weren’t expecting that!

yet…

no sense to be made

from this chaotic word scatter

where are you….

kneeling, I await

my amphora bearing spectre

parched heart to rehydrate

Kismet

when the divine created our star

near eternity we lingered

a somnolence of heaven’s burning

till red, raging

a supergiant

and in the the near, never-after…

us

a supernova sublime

a merging of milennia and molecules

belligerent to time

fiercely fusing

not even destiny to deny

now today

our eyes of umber meet

familiar iridescent irises

peppered with stellar dust greet

for we are of stars

welcome home…

Knock knock

Let love in

when she taps at your door

Ask once “who is it?”

and thereafter, question no more

Invite her to dine at your table

offer the comfortable chair

Pour her a fruity elixir

serve fresh oysters…

if you dare!

Gather your courage and ask her

“Did you get lost on the way?”

how you had given up waiting

“Not ready” she will quietly say

A simple Saturday night ditty 🙂
