how have I ever been able to call anywhere else home

when home is here

enveloped in your tantalizing valleys

your fertile undulations

invite lush thought

empty years

traversing empty

to find you in suffocating winter

dormant, cracks permeating ice crusted lakes

branches bare, devoid of bud

patience now my sweet

as ever close, our time to meet

then to part these mists that choke

and sweet spring

our love invoke

      3. Well you make me giggle as a school with a silly crush. So I guess its only fair that I return the favour
        . Isn’t it? 😜

Same for you love. If you were the chains imprisoning me, I don’t think you would ever find me try to break off. I would be too content there

      1. How adorable you are, and always have been since first we crossed paths. Unrestrained affections from both of us …. we are special souls that have forged a bond of friendship for all time dear Priya.
So happy to know you πŸ’œπŸ’œ

      1. Oh Kae … I flew to France on the 18th, spent a few days with a dear WP friend … now back in Paris for Xmas. It was a spur of the moment thing 😊
        And it’s been marvellous…

  1. France is lucky to have you call her home. You know my country loves you back, you have captured so many hearts here. My students have fallen for you, I think some of my music teachers might as well, and of course you have a comfy place in my heart too my dear, dear D.
Your words here cast a spell that can never be undone. You have captured France in your words and she has bound you to her in return. Whenever you read these lines back, you feel just as you did as you typed these words on the train. Trains are powerful spellbinders indeed. Evermoving arrows darting through your heart as words through time and space.

    1. My dear lady … if I could even begin to express how grateful I am to you, not just for these wonderful lines ….but for all the others over the many months. You were such a motivator when I first started writing…πŸ’•
And to have been so warmly greeted by you and brought without any hesitation into your life this last week. I will be remembering and retelling the gathered memories; coveting them like pearls.
Thank you dear heart for your unprecedented hospitality. I dedicate this poem to you and your incredible country!
