Lacrimas Profundere

i wrap myself in solitude’s cloak

tightly bound

concealing, errant

feelings to impound

harsh wool collar, lacrimas damp

scratches

numb skin, inducing rashes

neither felt nor seen

for in shadows

grazes convene

tattered truth parchment

tucked close to breast bone

fragments on tongue, stutter

dry choke, mouth open, then flutter

as doves from a magician’s hat

bet you weren’t expecting that!

yet…

no sense to be made

from this chaotic word scatter

where are you….

kneeling, I await

my amphora bearing spectre

parched heart to rehydrate

      1. I’ve had a camel tell me… he was rather choosy about his cactus though. He especially likes those pickled ones from Mexico.
        Take care Diana!

    1. Lil avo, hope it doesn’t make you anxious!! There is hope at the end, although one has to stay wrapped tight and endure a wet collar as well….keeping eyes bright and fixed on the horizon xx Always lovely to hear from you!

  1. ‘squander tears’ ? ‘shed deep tears ‘ ?

These two verses are a poem complete, for me they ‘are’ the poem, wonderful Alchemy of word my friend.

    1. Thank you kind sir! Yes ‘shed deep tears’ is the translation I was thinking… you know the ones, guttural throbs that remind us of childhood dramatics. And shock the hell out of us when they emerge in adulthood.

    1. Is yours lustrous black velvet like mine Daffni? Cosy and so easy to tuck our faces into when we want to remove all the harsh light from the world.
Thanks for reading … as always, so enjoy words between us!

      1. Haven’t I expressed myself enough my dear Diana. It was all for you, by the way, because you are the heart of this (heart) and the soul of this (soul), but will you make me w(hole) ?

      2. Oh now you have me multitasking … smiling and thinking! You challenge me to think more and sometimes I’m not sure my mind has been exercised sufficiently for the task. Yet my heart has had a great workout and appreciates your warmth 🙂

      3. Haha, I’m enjoying the lightheartedness of your spirit today/tonight(?). There is a spring in your step to match my finger tippity-tap dancing over the lippity-lap dancing of my keyboard. Hmm, lap dancing? I think that didn’t come out quite right lol.

      4. I wouldn’t mind 😏 I figured you were into that sort of thing, judging by one of your influences. A little broken, a little hurt, a little anger, a little rejection and the ‘peak’ of all experiences that has nothing to do with nature! Lol, but on a serious note, I’ll take you over the coffee shop love poet on the other side who is a moralistic (hedonist) and started this war by posting a few comments on other blogs, before calling me out in a poem, and now he attempts to steal my techniques, and the ‘white’ people enjoy that. He then started a war with a few others by calling them out one by one. But let’s just say somebody much much smarter, not looking for imitation but spotting people like me, found my blog. Well if you want to use the technique, do it well is my advice. For now.

  3. Your ability to evoke emotions through words is astonishing. Every poem of you makes me read it more than twice to understand it. Every piece is unique and it falls down as a puzzle with a powerful message behind. Only those who seek for it shall find it. I am still waiting on that book, dear friend 😀.

    1. Just having you read and appreciate my words entirely are enough for me! You are loyal, and uplifting with your words. I shall be smiling, bathing in your rainbow glow today dear friend XO

  4. It is such a treat to read you ❤
The first stanza had me hooked and the flow of your sensorial words had me feel along until the very last letter. Such powerful images depicting the strongest emotions. Heartbreak and solitude, a disappointment so poignant tugging at my heart as I let the meaning sink in and take hold of me. You are a strong illusionist. You always manage to have me travel right in the moment your words are projecting and feeling your every feel. Works like yours are the best reads ❤

    1. Dearest B … if I can begin to tell you how your words affect me! That I can touch even one person with my writing moves me in unexpected ways.
I never started to write here to gather followers;to garner excess attention. I just wanted to write from my deepest self as both catharsis and exploration. I expected to land in a far, dusty corner of the online world.
Yet, along the journey, such unexpected moments as these, where I’m almost without words … momentarily. Your support, our beautiful friendship … remind me of magic and give me hope that good truly can thrive in the confused world. Thank you beautiful heart ❤ ❤

      1. Aw ❤ You deserve every word and it all comes from the bottom of my heart. Your art runs deep and echoes what I have felt in the past and felt again as I read you. You are a magician. Pure magic emanates from you! I am merely a lucky passerby who has transcended that luck and become a friend <3.

      2. You “were” a passerby. I stopped you, with a gently shrug of your shirt. You turned to me, and I saw my bold, beautiful heart reflected. Wrapped in an alluring parcel of talented artist and musician. And eternal warmth.
Thanks for your incredible friendship over these months and the many years to follow ❤
