in these canyons of craving

we shuffle as

shadowed silhouettes

shallow footprints never settling

under a stinging desert shamal

squinting through silica scathing

with sand grit mouth

our lips pull away

parched, lithic dry…

your pernicious passion contrived

in clandestine contrast

to the sky

which thereafter floods blue

from tears

    1. One of those pieces I wrote some time ago that was lingering, waiting to be completed. Waiting for a rainy afternoon when there was a tinge of melancholy in the mist. The theme of course concerns the past; Ill suited relationships that were from the desert and stayed there.

Strangely enough, when it was posted I immediately felt lighter. 😌 Thanks for always feeling my intention … acknowledge the sadness and let it flow away like used bath water!

      1. Voice and explanation is sought by the one who doubt… For me your words are enough inscribed there on the glass so misty with the breathe you just exhaled…..

I am happy you feel light! ❀

      2. And the mere presence of your words induce lightness! They remain in view even when the mist passes, leaving an imprint to be seen when the sun catches the glass at dawn’s first glow ❀️
