Kismet

when the divine created our star

near eternity we lingered

a somnolence of heaven’s burning

till red, raging

a supergiant

and in the the near, never-after…

us

a supernova sublime

a merging of milennia and molecules

belligerent to time

fiercely fusing

not even destiny to deny

now today

our eyes of umber meet

familiar iridescent irises

peppered with stellar dust greet

for we are of stars

welcome home…

  2. Where science & spirit, imagination & intellect meet doors are opened and wonders revealed ……………….. and you my friend have just proved the point, in a piece of art. It should be compulsory reading for a science degree.

    1. Dear Nigel, you certainly know that I never stray far from chemical reactions or nature when I wax lyrical on affairs of the heart. I cannot unlink them! Thanks for always having words that encourage a smile and make writing fun for me.

  3. A beautiful composition of words that lead the readers to the doorway of fabulous galaxy of imagination and images. I loved this intellectual beauty of stars and destiny and spellbinding imagery as much I love the intellectual

    As I was saying,
A beautiful composition of words that lead the readers to the doorway of fabulous galaxy of imagination and images. I loved this intellectual beauty of stars and destiny and spellbinding imagery as much I love the intellectual beauty who wrote this fantabulous piece.❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️

    1. Surely this is the wondrous type of comment that any writer would love to receive! At least once in their writing career.
I’m so grateful you chose to bestow such words on me – and your effusive affection warms my heart. Your sweetness is intergalactic dear Priya! Shine on beautiful πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

  5. Like the title of the poem was not enough to leave me gaped with astonishment.

Beautiful composition there… Loved every word of it and your sanguine sighs that echo in my mind as I read in between the lines…. ❀

      1. The little faces, emoticons in my comments? If you mean these I have them on my iPhone. Or if you type certain keyboard characters like : and ) together you get πŸ™‚

I think that the attraction between souls can only be matched by cosmic phenomena. It’s that powerful.

    1. It’s so nice of you to say this! This is actually one of my personal favourites 😌
When you write something and afterwards can’t believe it’s yours … so wrapped up in feelings.
