tonight a final masterpiece
for you paint the sky with a divine touch
brushing watercoloured wisps
with fine sable tip
letting reflections fall
and wavelet mirrors enthrall
your fleeting exhalations roll clouds
toward my horizon
yet I slip further away as the the world turns
momentarily grasping the sun
in my palm
oh, how it burns
then return to the place
where the sky kisses the earth’s jagged edge
my love dwelling in granite chasms
and shadowed crevice
for invertebrates
of a nameless kind
I don’t have words to describe the beauty of your words ❤️

They say do not try to understand poetry, instead feel it. You might get somewhere.

I feel like I have time travelled. Something so fresh yet so nostalgic.
Though love is fossilized but what remains of us continue to flourish -Indeed we did exist.

Indeed we did exist and our souls have passed from single cells, through the seas and skies, never to be extinguished.
Thankful for such a profound comment Shefali …it welcomes further ruminating from me as I type. You felt my words and I’m thrilled. 😌

That is the beauty of conversing… you just need to make up of your mind… that you gonna speak…. words decide their path and flow on their own…

I’m overcome too merely reading your comment – but it concerns me … please seek medical advice if the speechlessness recurs for I love your words! ❤

You’re a master (somehow ‘mistress’ doesn’t work here) at rich and powerful metaphors, Diana 🙂

😌 Thanks Rosaliene; this is really too kind! I hope I don’t get tiresome with my metaphorical ways. I especially enjoy linking to nature. We are an intricate piece after all! 😊
