Fragile

The fragility of love

A web strand weighed by dew

a breeze whisper shall break

for cowering spider to renew
Later softened by sun glow

and sagging insect shell

to the frail strands, tenuously twisted

another calamity befell
twice broken

twice repaired

now no more
And with this, my 100th post… I thank you all for your warmth and ongoing support ❀️

  1. Congratulations, Diana! And thank you for sharing such beautiful and moving prose and delightful imagery with us during these past 100! I will be looking forward to more, please! πŸ™‚

‘Fragile’, is what we all can be, I guess, but that shell can help us a little at least. And if we do fall, we rise up again, and hopefully more wisened, we rebuild. Deep and heartfelt work, Diana.

    1. Pete, you are ever kind and I especially treasure your words here.
Thank you for granting me as much attention here as you might when peering at a little 5 mm fly …. with a breath hold and subsequent click. You come across as a very thoughtful man and I’ve enjoyed your art and way with words since day one. Or the day before that πŸ™‚ xx

  2. Fragile are we who become entrapped by love’s web, only to realise we are such by the revealing morning dew’s kind intervention. A lovely ‘thinker’ with layers of interpretation to unravel and play with. I like very much.

  3. First, congratulations on 100th post sweetest Diana. This is an achievement. And I am glad we met.
This work again, your words work like potion. The love which breaks like that isn’t love. Giving chances to the one who don’t respect what you have for them, isn’t love. That’s what I interpreted ☺️☺️

    1. You are a divine creature; so sweet and we were meant to meet, I have no doubt! Thanks for being here at my 100th party lol
You have become an eternal friend, across the sea, so then I should ask, when shall you visit me πŸ˜‰ You interpret everything just as if we are seated drinking tea and I am saying “yes indeed’! (add loveheart emoticon x 3 here, I’m on my Mac so can’t figure out how to make this happen haha!)

Oh and be weary of such “fragile” love…it would certainly bring forth a thousand new inspirations for a poetic genius…but then that heart, how do you explain this to that heart?

  5. Congratulations Diana! I believe there comes a point when there is “no more”, just like you said. One forgives and forgives and repairs the damage but sometimes it gets to a point that is beyond any reparation. Love is fragile because it breaks in the end if it is not been taking care of. I also see strenght because of the capacity to be rebuilt.
    Love, D 🌈.
