A branch’s tale

I sit amongst fallen leaves

achingly curled dry into final poses

over scattered shrivel of scarlet roses

the sun warmth now diminished

as my own

what of the diurnal promises of spring?

when I bent proud

grimacing through hail storm sting

just to feel the graces of your summer

resplendent in my naïveté

with buds this passion was born

till branch from tree

was

torn

    1. Oh dear Priya, your warmth and enthusiasm is fresh and so welcome ♥️ You are that plate of pancakes piled high…and the cap falls off and floods the plate with the bottle of premium maple syrup. Yes, that sweet! 🍯😍

  2. These words are so enigmatic…the simplicity of your sentiments belong to a different dimension in itself…I am almost amazed everytime I read one of your creations…as to how ingeniously you connect your emotions with things we barely notice on a daily basis..you are stupendous 😍😍😍

      1. Aww, sending you back a package with lots of love and kind words as well! I hope it will arrive fast enough. I adore the way you write poetry. The words are wrapped up in such a mysterious light and I learn new words that I never thought it existed. Now I realize my English vocabulary is not that good after all 😂. Thank you for sharing such incredible pieces with us. Really lucky to have found your blog ❤💛💚💙💜.

      2. This comment is fabulous! It felt like a big warm blanket when one rushes outside eagerly and thinks they don’t need a coat!! We all need a dose of cosy warmth sometimes. And the colourful array of rainbow hearts fill me with joy! Did I mention you are special D? Yes, I just did elsewhere but will say it again ❤️❤️
