“Parole” to Italians
“Les Mots” to the French
an abundance of words
upon you
i shall drench
You shall emerge
from such a verbal sea
dripping with heavy
and longing for me
let them not evaporate
for they indeed eviscerate
from a heart undone
perhaps press them between pages
with dried forgotten flowers
to hydrate when needed
come someday
lonely hours
Words!! The most important things in the world. And your words are pure magic❤️

High quality post Diana. Love this though I am not that qualified to analyse.
But then I learned to read poetry with the heart

Beautiful! I love the concept of taking the words and pressing them in books—great metaphor! The figurative pouring of words and drenching someone is perfect. 🙂

I hope the words were merely a heavy intoxication and you survived, until I let you sip again 😘

And in my lonely hours, when I’m too weary for company, your “Words” are all I seek; just like tonight, after an exhausting day, I came to The Wandering Armadillo, to lie in the shelter of your rhymes!

I hope my words were a balm of calm comfort, dear one. I am indebted, and completely in awe of your sweet sentiments. How selfish I become …. your words my oxygen this evening ❤
