Watch the swallows by the window
As they dive dance, spin and sway
Buoyant on warm dawn breezes
heralding the new day
Hear the hum of the city waking
Catch a breath of forest air
Know the chaos that is waiting
Carry stillness with you there
Watch the swallows by the window
As they dive dance, spin and sway
Buoyant on warm dawn breezes
heralding the new day
Hear the hum of the city waking
Catch a breath of forest air
Know the chaos that is waiting
Carry stillness with you there
Oh my goodness… pretty pretty pretty:)

Lovely poem, Diana, and captivating image. I like the idea of carrying the stillness gained from your time in the forest back to the city so you can cope with the chaos there. That’s something we all need from time to time ๐

Well thank you! I’m so fortunate to be a block away from the edge of the forest Pete! Yet I can still zip to work in 12 minutes if I hit the lights just right ๐

That sounds so perfect ๐ Kind of similar here. I live about 5mins walk from the countryside. I can see the woods where there is a rookery from the window as I type. Work is about half an hour a way through towns in a morning, longer on the afternoon.

I think our proximity to nature definitely helps with the creative flow, when I lived in a busier downtown location all I wanted to do was binge watch Netflix!
