Insomnia

How I dread these heavy rain drops

Thrumming at the window drain

Mocking, damp dysrhythmia

Will I not sleep again?
Damp sweat tendrils pooling

Soaking sheet and glistened skin

Unfocused peering, eyelids lift

Dawn’s light will soon begin

    1. A big thank you!
I visited your first poem just now…
“It gathers up sweet memories in the bowl you left outside” … how lovely this sentence is! And when I read your brief bio attached … I felt a kindred spirit Megha. I feel the same bliss about writing and the connections made. My dimples are a little deeper as I write 😘

      1. Yes I feel the same! I do worry that I will eventually be overwhelmed by following to many folk and not having enough hours in the day though! And you, a busy mother with a job…you must feel the same!
